A lifetime of support from the Trojan Family.

In designing the MAT@USC, our main goal was to push the boundaries of what online education could be. From the day you enroll through the time you spend earning your degree and beyond, the MAT@USC has been designed to provide you with the rich academic, social, professional and personal experiences you would expect from a distinguished institution of higher learning.
While You are Enrolled
You will be introduced to the MAT@USC Student Services team who will help you get acclimated to our online learning environment, including familiarizing you with the technologies that make the program possible. We live in a technology-rich world, but everyone’s level of expertise is different, so we won’t make assumptions about your familiarity with interactive web technologies, uploading and downloading course materials and videos or collaborating with classmates and faculty online.
As an MAT@USC student, you’ll be a full-fledged USC student no matter where you live, and you’ll have access to all of the same resources and benefits as every other student at our great university, including:
- 24/7-access to the vast library resources of one of the world’s leading private research institutions.
- An ongoing calendar of social gatherings and professional get-togethers for students, faculty and alumni in cities across the country.
- Savings at the USC bookstore, as well as student discounts at movie theaters, museums and other cultural facilities.
Since our students live in different time zones, the Student Services team is available by phone from early in the morning through the late evening hours. They can also be reached 24/7 via email.
While You Participate in Fieldwork
The MAT@USC has placed students at more than 700 school districts around the country for practicum. As the program continues to grow, so does the network of schools and educational facilities across the country that welcome our students into their doors to their complete fieldwork and the Guided Practice component of the curriculum at their location.
Many universities put the responsibility on the student to find a school where they can complete their fieldwork and Guided Practice requirement. The MAT@USC staff not only does this for you, we dedicate enormous resources to ensure our students have the opportunity to establish meaningful and constructive relationships with a school and district that are invested in their training and development process.
We have built relationships with hundreds of school districts and more than a thousand schools across the country, and we will find one that is not only close to where you live but one that will offer you the best opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the students you will teach.
As You Prepare for the Credentialing Process
