Taking Online Learning to the Next Level
New technologies are changing education every day and the MAT@USC is constantly evolving to stay on the cutting edge. We challenge ourselves to imagine the possibilities of an online learning environment that effectively emulates, and builds upon, the on-campus student experience.

A meaningful education involves more than a student interacting with a computer. It’s about meeting new people, sharing ideas, and collaborating with friends, classmates and faculty on a daily basis. It’s about building bonds and establishing the personal and professional relationships that will last a lifetime. As an MAT@USC student you’ll do so by:
- Attending live on-line class sessions on a weekly basis where you will actively engage with your professor and classmates in real-time, face-to-face discussions.
- Accessing stimulating coursework made up of original documentary-style videos, reading materials, and class assignments through an intuitively designed online learning management system.
- Sharing and receiving feedback on your classroom teaching experiences by uploading videos of your work and discussing them with your professors and Guiding Teacher.
- Joining an interactive community where you can chat with classmates, post and comment on their walls, join communities, and form study groups, just as you do on today’s most popular social networking sites.
And to extend the program further, all of our students can download the MAT@USC application for the iPhone and iPad, which brings all of the functionality of our learning management system to app users everywhere. Click here to learn more about the app functionality.
