Students who are looking to earn their Wisconsin teaching certification will have to complete a student teaching program known as Guided Practice. It does not matter where in Wisconsin you are located as you will be placed in a classroom near you by the MAT@USC. It is run by a Guiding Teacher who has been carefully selected and trained by the MAT@USC. Ask your Student Services specialist to learn more about the Guided Practice program.

Once you have successfully completed the MAT@USC Single or Multiple Subject Credential program, you will be eligible to be recommended for California teacher certification. If it is your desire to teach in Wisconsin, you will be able to transfer the California teaching certification to Wisconsin by applying through interstate reciprocity. Alternately, you can apply directly to Wisconsin’s certification authority to bypass the transfer process. Our Student Services team will provide you with all the information and assistance you need to find the most efficient and effective path to becoming a certified teacher in Wisconsin.
