Corinne Hyde

Dr. Hyde has a wide variety of experience in the field of education, including classroom teaching, special education, community education, and educational administration. She received her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the Rossier School of Education, with a concentration in Educational Psychology. She also received her Master of Science in Education in Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology from the Rossier School of Education, and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. She currently resides in St. Gabriel, Louisiana, near Baton Rouge, and is the first full-time faculty member in the Master of Arts in Teaching program to be fully off-site, teaching through the MAT program’s virtual campus.

Dr. Hyde’s dissertation examined the relationship between teacher assessment practices, student engagement, and student goal orientation in elementary mathematics. Her research interests include teaching to promote social justice and diversity in the K-12 classroom, goal orientation and engagement in science and mathematics among elementary-age students, and the effects of virtual learning environments on K-adult students.
