Molly Nellman

As an educator in urban California public schools, Molly Nellman has been a Science and Career & Technical Eduation (CTE) Teacher, Technology Trainer, Curriculum Developer, Professional Development Leader, and California Partnership Academy Coordinator. As the founding coordinator of the Biomedical Careers Academy at Lawndale High School, Molly has built a successful and highly sought-after small learning community for students interested in health and medical careers.

Molly has also served as a mentor for teacher candidates and for undergraduate students interested in entering the teaching profession.

Molly’s graduate research focused on blended learning and online education in secondary education. Through a fellowship granted by the National Science Teacher Association, Molly participated in an online teacher mentoring and professional development program. She continues to experimentwith technology and online learning in the high school classroom, and as a collaborative tool for academy coordination and maintaining small learning communities.
