Tanya Brown
Dr. Tanya Brown began her teaching career in Chicago, Illinois where she worked with students at nearly every grade level and held teaching and administrative positions in public, charter, and parochial schools. This panoramic view of education made it possible for her to help open several new schools in the Chicago area including the internationally recognized Urban Prep and Multicultural Arts High School in the Little Village Lawndale High School Campus. Dr. Merriman teaches Social Context A & B at USC.
She holds an Ed.D. from DePaul University and her research focuses on Critical Pedagogy, Social Justice Education and Arts and Museum Education.
She relocated to Los Angeles two years ago with her family.
