Teacher Appreciation Week kicks off today and runs through Friday, with Teacher Appreciation Day being celebrated tomorrow May 3rd! This week communities around the country take a step back to honor local educators and celebrate them. Teachers truly play a crucial role in ensuring every student receives a great education – you deserve to be celebrated!
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. ~Henry Adams
Ronni Ephriam, Chief Instructional Officer, MAT@USC
Whether you are already teaching, and will be hearing about the value of your work from your students themselves, or you are an aspiring teacher, the MAT@USC faculty and staff express our gratitude and appreciation to you for making a difference in classrooms.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd – May 6th. We know that embarking on a Master of Arts in Teaching in a program as rigorous as this one is not easy. The hours you spend inside and outside of class show your commitment to teaching and to K-12 students throughout the world.
There are now over 1,500 students in the MAT@USC. You come from 42 states and 19 countries. You are completing the program in 1,822 schools and 820 districts. Every student you interface with is lucky that you have chosen to make teaching your career. We are grateful for your commitment to excellence.
The MAT Programs host a website, “My Teacher, My Hero”. We hope that you will visit this website and post a video to thank a teacher who has been instrumental in your life. We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. Our goal is to highlight those in our profession who deserve our gratitude and remind the world about the great things great teachers do.
Again, thank you for the influence you have on the lives of your students and their families. We appreciate you.
